Reinforced Blox

CinderBlox

The "cinder" blox or concrete masonry unit (CMU) is the most widely used building material around the world. Over the years many new innovations in the industry have occured, like coloration and form design; but none to the avail of Blox Building Systems . Being 60% lighter weight than a cinder blox and having superior insulating value, our version of the industry standard will certain make its mark.

Comparisons can hardly be drawn between our 8 x 8 x 16 inch and the industry's standard. There is no insulation in a cinder block, and the construction cost to insulate these walls can be costly. Our Blox provide the structural and insulating characteristics all building require in a single step. The contrast in weight alone makes the construction process less strenuous and more expedient.

Blox Building Systems offers the Blox for use with or without the incorporation of steel re-enforcement, or re-bar. Call for more information and pricing.

Adobe Blox

The origin of the adobe block can be traced to the ancient Egyptian societies, and has been popularized in many regions of the world including several states in the southwestern United States . Adobe, meaning "mud-brick", are exactly that: A brick formed of soil, clay and sun-dried to produce a 10" x 14" with varying thicknesses. The advantages of adobe are it's ability to maintain a cool temperature due to the thermal mass of the brick. The down side of adobe is it's low compressive strength.

Blox Building Systems has adapted the adobe size into our production because of the simplicity of the construction. Possessing a much higher compressive strength (3,000 psi; the minimum strength requirement for concrete) as well as a more stabilized composition, Blox are a excellent alternative for adobe construction. At a fraction of the weight, Blox can ease the construction process, ultimately allowing more Blox to be laid with less energy excerpted.

The size alone makes Blox a extremely versatile building product, suitable for many applications other than new home construction. The Blox's size also attributes to its thermal capabilities . Greenstar Blox ™ laid in a10 or 14 inch thick wall exhibits an unprecedented thermal mass, producing high R-factor, and saving energy.
